About
Hyperion Energy is a Maidstone-based energy engineering company with over 20 years of Mechanical and Electrical contracting behind us. That engineering depth is what separates us from the typical renewable installer.
We serve commercial property owners, facilities managers, public sector organisations, schools, and property developers across Kent. We start by understanding your building and your objectives, then design a system where every element is specified to work together from day one.

How We Deliver. The Sustainable Energy Chain.
Every Hyperion Energy project follows our five stage Sustainable Energy Chain framework. One partner, one process, and one point of accountability from start to finish.
Stage One. Survey and Diagnostics
Every project begins with a detailed site assessment. We analyse your existing systems, energy consumption patterns, building characteristics, electrical infrastructure, and future requirements before anything is specified or quoted.
This stage exists for one reason. Informed investment decisions start here, not after you have signed a contract. We will not recommend a system that does not make financial and technical sense for your specific building and objectives.
Stage Two. Design and Planning
Based on our survey findings, we engineer an integrated, compliant solution where every technology is sized and specified to work with the others. Solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, heat pumps, and smart energy management are designed as a single coordinated system, not a collection of isolated products.
Where planning permission or grid connection applications are required, we manage the full process on your behalf as part of this stage.
Stage Three. Installation and Integration
We coordinate approved specialist subcontractors under a single programme management framework. You have one point of contact and one point of accountability throughout the installation process, regardless of how many specialist teams are working on your project.
Every installation is delivered to our HIT Standard. Holistic systems thinking, Intelligent programme control, and Trusted delivery from the first day on site to final commissioning.
Stage Four. Support and Maintenance
We do not disappear after commissioning. Our support and maintenance contracts cover ongoing system performance management, annual inspections, and rapid response to any performance issues that arise over the operational life of your installation.
Long term performance is not an afterthought at Hyperion Energy. It is built into the programme from day one.
Stage Five. Reporting and Optimisation
The final stage of every Sustainable Energy Chain is continuous performance reporting and system optimisation. We provide transparent data on what your system is generating, consuming, and saving, and we use that data to tune performance over time.
For commercial and public sector clients with reporting obligations, our optimisation contracts provide the verified performance data needed to demonstrate progress against energy and carbon reduction targets.

Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that investing in commercial energy systems is a significant decision.
How much does a commercial solar installation cost in Kent?
Commercial solar systems in Kent typically range from £45,000 to £60,000 for a 50kW installation and £90,000 upwards for 100kW programmes. Payback periods are typically four to seven years depending on consumption and whether battery storage is integrated. We provide detailed financial modelling as part of our initial survey.
What grants are available for commercial energy systems in Kent?
Commercial clients can access the Workplace Charging Scheme and EV Chargepoint Grant for EV infrastructure, and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme for up to £7,500 on eligible heat pump installations. We advise on all relevant funding routes as part of the initial assessment.
Do commercial solar installations need planning permission in Kent?
Most commercial installations require planning permission due to scale. We manage the planning process as part of our SEC framework and have experience working with Maidstone Borough Council, Medway Council, and district planning teams across Kent.
Why use an integrated energy engineering company rather than separate installers?
Separate contractors install technologies without considering how they interact. That fragmented approach reduces overall performance by 20 to 30% compared to an integrated design, and leaves you managing multiple warranties and maintenance contracts with no single point of accountability.
Which areas of Kent do you cover?
We are based in Maidstone and deliver commercial energy programmes across Kent, including Medway, Canterbury, Ashford, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Dartford, Sevenoaks, Folkestone, and Dover.
